Orland Fire hosts Coffee & Conversation March 28 on “Palliative” health care options
The Orland Fire Protection District and Aishling Companion Home Care will host a “Coffee & Conversation” on Thursday, March 28, 2019 to discuss the issue of “Palliative Care.”
Palliative Care is specialized medical care for people living with a serious illness. This type of care is focused on relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the patient and the family.
The free program is open to all members of the public and is held from 10 AM until 12 noon at the Orland Fire Protection District’s administration offices at 9790 W. 151st Street in Orland Park. A guest speaker from Vitas Hospice will discuss the specialized medical and nursing care practice for reliefs from symptoms, pain, physical stress and mental stress.
