Lyons 4th of July Celebration, July 4

Lyons plans another spectacular 4th of July celebration

Village President Christopher Getty and the Village Board of Trustees will join with representatives of more than 60 organizations and community groups, and other regional officials to kick off this year’s Annual 4th of July celebration and parade.

The 4th of July Parade will begin at 1 pm covering a mile in the Village. The route begins at the Lyons Village Hall at 4200 South Lawndale Avenue and heads south to 46th Street, then west (left) on 46th Street to Joliet Avenue, then north (left) on Joliet Avenue to the old Fire Station at 40th Street.

U.S. Congressman Dan Lipinski will be among regional officials join Mayor Getty and Village Trustees in the parade.

Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. at Veterans Park at 4200 S. Lawndale Avenue.
