Taste of Joliet to be held June 21-23 at Memorial Stadium

Big Fun and Tasty Food at the Taste of Joliet on June 21-23, 2019. Be a Part of This Incredible Weekend with Great Food, Top Entertainment, and Family Fun in Joliet

The Taste of Joliet is back for another weekend filled with fun activities, including a carnival, kids zone, live music, and over 25 food vendors! The fest takes place on Friday, June 21st through Sunday, June 23rd at ATI Field at Joliet Memorial Stadium, in the heart of Joliet.

With over 25 food vendors, this year’s fest will be even bigger than last year! Jerrie’s Dogs & Fries, McWethy’s, Chuck’s Southern Comforts Cafe, and Cemeno’s are just a few of the local vendors you’ll find. Enjoy a tamale boat with chili cheese at Jerrie’s, some Reuben french fries from McWethy’s, or a bowl of seafood gumbo from Chuck’s. Be sure to save enough room for a slice of chocolate covered cheesecake for dessert!

Celebrate the I&M Canal National Heritage

Join the Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Area, America’s FIRST National Heritage Area, celebrates it’s 35th Anniversary on Sunday August 25, 2019 from 10 AM until 4 PM. Ride on the I&M Canal Boat, 754 1st St, LaSalle, Illinois 61301.

In August 1984, President Ronald Reagan signed a bill establishing the Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Area, America’s first National Heritage Area. This “new kind of national park” was the first explicit marriage of preservation, conservation, recreation, and economic development.

Join us as the I&M Canal National Heritage Area celebrates the anniversary with a I&M Canal Boat Tour aboard the replica canal boat “The Volunteer”. Climb aboard & learn about why the Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage area is so important in America’s history & how the I&M Canal created Chicago!

Visit their Facebook Page by clicking here.
